Flower Power Soap Challenge

When I signed up for Amy's Flower Power challenge I had a million and one ideas about what I'd do. I have to say that this is not one of them! While planning what cookies to make for Easter this year, I recently looked for inspiration on YouTube and watched several talented artisans beautifully decorating their cookie tops in very many intriguing ways including 'wet on wet'. So, I thought to myself, "Why not try that out with soap?" And so I did.
And wasn't it DIFFICULT! CP soap batter is not easy to play around with! First round the soap set up too fast so I couldn't use it to decorate. Next time round the 'batter' just wouldn't set and that made work tough again. I am not really happy with my final result, but I am really glad I signed up, if only to see the other members' BEAUTIFUL soap! Well done soapers ... you've inspired me to keep trying.

    1. Thank you, Amy - had hoped to make something 'better'. As always :). The blog's not new - I've posted here before, but the only time I ever post is Soap Challenge time, it seems :). Been having trouble with it this evening though, so it may have appeared empty and looked new at some point !?!

  7. Your soap looks great - so great I had to vote for you! :) I bought some piping tools, and had signed up for the challenge, but wasn't able to get an entry finished in time... Still hope to learn to pipe some flowers though.

    1. How kind of you, Jill. I am still learning how to pipe with soap and have a very long way to go before I am even half as good as the 'soaping gurus' I've seen at work online, but it's always encouraging to know someone thinks I did a good job :). Thanks.

    2. Thank you :). Yes, it's partially fragranced. I fragranced the soap with a floral fragrance oil blend, but I left the 'flowers' unscented to give me enough time to play with the bit that needed to be coloured and piped.
